It's Astronomy Week... |
| |
Local clubs and their members will be out and about during the week leading up to Astronomy Day
on Saturday May 7 so keep an eye out for them and their telescopes should the skies be clear.
Popular hangouts include mall and store entrances where views of Saturn can be caught through
telescopes.
On Saturday, local clubs can be found in malls and markets with various astronomical displays
in addition to equipment displays. Solar observing will also be possible assuming the weather
cooperates and if not we are always available to chat and answer any questions you might
have about astronomy. For example, in Saint John we will be at Brunswick Square and Lancaster
Mall in addition to a Public Observing session at the Irving Nature Park on Friday evening
(Rain date of Saturday). In Fredericton, RASC members will be present at the Boyce's Farmer's
Market from 7:00 AM until 1:00 PM and in the Moncton area, members will be at the Dieppe Market.
